Youth Empowerment Programs
Our youth programs focus on building confidence, life skills, and real-world readiness. We help young individuals develop the tools they need to thrive in school, work, and life.
What We Offer:
-
Financial Literacy and Protection Workshops
Participants learn essential financial skills including budgeting, banking, credit management, and retirement planning. Workshops also focus heavily on fraud and scam prevention, identity theft protection, and disaster financial preparedness to safeguard fixed incomes. -
Wellness and Resilience Workshops
These workshops focus on emotional wellness, stress management, and healthy communication. Topics include caregiver burnout prevention, Alzheimer’s and dementia awareness (in partnership with organizations such as the Alzheimer's Association), end-of-life preparedness, and grief support—helping participants navigate life transitions with confidence and dignity. -
Career Reentry Workshops
Encore Entrepreneurship Workshops (55+)
Designed for older adults reentering the workforce, these workshops cover resume writing, interview preparation, digital literacy, and workplace etiquette. Content is aligned with workforce development initiatives such as the Senior Community Service Employment Program to support employment outcomes.
These workshops guide participants through starting a small business, including business planning, budgeting, marketing, and accessing funding opportunities. Participants learn how to turn their skills and life experience into income-generating opportunities.
-
Safety, CPR, and Emergency Preparedness Workshops
Participants receive training in CPR awareness, personal safety, and emergency preparedness, including disaster readiness and basic survival skills. These workshops promote confidence and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.

Community Clean-Up – Garfield Park (March 20, 2026)
On March 20, TAHF came together with volunteers, families, and community partners to help beautify Garfield Park. It was a meaningful and joyful day of service filled with teamwork, compassion, and community spirit.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible, including Chick-fil-A for providing lunch, the Alderman for supplying materials and support, and Believe 2 Recieve for partnering with us and allowing us to be part of this impactful initiative. We also appreciate all family volunteers and community supporters who dedicated their time and energy to making a difference.
This event reflects our ongoing commitment to building cleaner, safer, and stronger communities through unity and service. We look forward to continuing our efforts in the upcoming clean-up on March 27.
